1. Prop your Antique or Ornate Mirror against a wall. Hanging your mirror is not compulsory, propping it against a wall particularly a bare wall.
2. Don’t rule out a stunning ornate or antique mirror in a small room, the mirror will create even more visual appeal in a small room than a large room and could lift an otherwise bland wall. Particularly effective is to hang your ornate or antique mirror at the end of a narrow hallway, helping to lift a space that is often ignored as well as visually increasing the size of the hallway through the reflection from the mirror.
3. Antique and ornate mirrors make great whiteboards. Use them for practical household lists or just write your favourite quotes or inspiring phrases. Using the right marker pens will make it easy to wipe off. Restaurants and Bars have recently started to use this technique to display their menu specials to great effect.
4.Use 2 matching ornate or antique mirrors next to each other or adjacent to each other, for example on each side of your bed above each bedside table or as a pair side by side in your kitchen. The symmetry will look stunning and beautifully embellish a feature wall.
5. Customising an ornate gilt mirror can provide the ability to colour co-ordinate with the colour sceme of a room. Spray paint works great on a gilt frame
